Hej! We, who run Lilla Hotellet are Edith & Peter. We love what we do!

Especially when it comes to hospitality, where it's all about taking good care of people. Then there is this huge passion about growing vegetables and cooking tasty food. Originally from Salzburg, Austria we moved to Sweden in 2017 to work and live here in this beautiful country in Northern Europe. With a solid background in tourism, customer experience, hospitality and ecological gardening it's our aim to make people happy. 

After a while in beautiful Stockholm we realized our huge longing for nature and space. In 2018 we were lucky to find our happy place. A property with a size of 6.000 m2 including a main building, some small other buildings and a lovely guest house next to the lake.

The garden almost untouched, with lots of old (fruit) trees and berry bushes. We knew we were in heaven! Since then we are busy making this place even better. We have built a kitchen garden where we grow veggies and flowers which supplies us and insects with fresh food throughout spring, summer and autumn. Additionally we also preserve as much as we can. Home-grown veggies taste to good to be true, so you do not want to miss one single fruit. And what would a proper garden be without chickens? Exactly! Therefore are we currently building a chicken house to welcome even some lovely chickens here!

This feeling of space is priceless and we would like to share it with you. In 2019 we opened our guest house and it soon became a hotspot for people from all over the world. We love to welcome guests and to hear their stories. Every story is special.

We had the pleasure to host guests who wanted to slow down and relax or those who spent their stay in active way. Future husbands who popped THE question (works perfectly well on our floating bridge) or couples who spent their honeymoon with us. Some guests came as strangers and left as friends. What else could one wish for? We are looking forward to welcome you and to hear your story!
