WELcome!

Lilla Hotellet, which means "tiny hotel" is part of our home, which we would like to share with you. Just 45 minutes from Stockholm, Arlanda airport or Uppsala and directly located at the lake. We are outdoor lovers and have a passion for food and hospitality. We love to inhale nature with all five senses, ideally on a daily basis and as environmentally friendly as possible. That's why we are gardeners by heart. We love to grow our own vegetables and to produce ecological food. Ideally in the most sustainable way. So, if you book a stay with us, you should also taste the food.

OUR TINY HOTEL

Lilla Hotellet offers with its size of 40 m2 space for 2 persons and is fully furnished. Located in the countryside, with a wonderful view of Lake Mälar, and yet only ca. 45 minutes from Stockholm, Uppsala, Västerås or Arlanda airport. Its direct access to the lake ensures relaxed days by the water, all year round.

Edith's place is the perfect chill zone in the middle of the nature, 1h away from Stockholm. Our weekend was everything we needed – a run in the crisp quiet surroundings passing the Ekolsunds castle, home-cooking, fireplace vibes and sauna time. Can't beat sipping wine while taking in the chill lake views. It's the spot for a solid getaway and we can’t recommend it enough. Also Edith & her husband are stellar hosts, ever ready to help with everything we’ve needed.

Vi hade en fantastisk helg i boendet hos Edith. Stugan är jättefin och modern. Otroligt fin utsikt rakt ut över sjön utanför. Lugnt och fridfullt, perfekt getaway en helg. Edith var otroligt trevlig och välkomnande, kändes direkt som hemma. Tack och på återseende förhoppningsvis!

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit am Mälarsee. Die Unterkunft ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Gemeinsam haben wir tolle Stunden beim Fahrradfahren, im Boot auf dem See und in der Sauna verbracht. Viel Ruhe und die schöne Natur laden zum Entspannen ein. Auch ein Ausflug ins nahe gelegene Stockholm (ca. 1h) durfte nicht fehlen. Edith hat uns super lieb empfangen und uns bei Fragen beiseite gestanden. Wir würden gerne wieder kommen 🙂

Super verblijf gehad bij Edith & Peter, heel fijn huisje aan het meer met alle gemakken voorzien. Edith & Peter doen er echt alles aan om er voor te zorgen dat je een goed verblijf hebt, echt een aanrader!

Edith a été une hôte adorable durant notre séjour. Elle a été très flexible sur nos horaires et super attentionnée surtout que nous avions du retard sur notre avion. Le logement est super cosy, très bien équipé et super propre. C’est un vrai cocon au milieu de la nature ! Nous reviendrons sans hésitez, merci beaucoup Edith pour votre accueil très chaleureux !

This place next to the lake has a nice view and everything you need. You can enjoy sauna, BBQ, easy access to the lake, fireplace or bikes that are free to use. You can clearly see that Edith and her husband put a lot of energy into this lovely cottage. Highly recommended!:))

Fantastiskt mysigt ställe att spendera en lugn helg (som vi gjorde) oavsett säsong. Edith är en mycket trevlig värd och stugan har ett underbart läge. Bastun och den omedelbara närheten till Mälaren ger verkligen guldkant till vistelsen. Väl värt ett besök.

Wir hatten eine unfassbar schöne Zeit bei Edith. Die Unterkunft ist ein absoluter Traum. Sehr sauber, gemütlich, genug Privatsphäre, herzlich, viel Liebe zum Detail - der perfekte Ort zum Entspannen und einfach mal die Seele baumeln lassen. Man kann im See schwimmen, in die Sauna, mit dem Fahrrad die Gegend erkunden oder einfach den ganzen Tag auf dem Steg sitzen und das Wetter genießen. Es ist einfach nur herrlich! Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen. Edith und Peter sind die perfekten Gastgeber. Sie versorgen einen mit Tipps und der Empfang war sehr herzlich! Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

Einer der wunderschönsten und idyllischsten Plätze die ich je besuchen durfte. Durch die liebevollen Gastgeber Edith und Peter mit dem Auge zum Detail, welches sich in der Gestaltung des Hauses, des Gartens und ihrem Sinn für Nachhaltigkeit zu einem ganz besonderen Aufenthalt machen. Auch ein Trip nach Stockholm oder in die wunderschönen Städte in der Umgebung zahlt sich aus. Ich konnte hier ganz besonders entspannen und abschalten und plane schon meinen nächsten Urlaub für 2022 in Ekolsund!

The Guesthouse … is an absolute highlight. A red house with white windows, just next to a beautiful lake. It has everything to offer, what you need and even more … sauna in the house. It is a beautiful place on earth to have a few days off, to do trips (e.g. Stockholm approx. 1h) and to do sports (hikes, walking and bicycle tours). The owners Edith and Peter are Austrian and speak German, English and Swedish. They are lovely and open-minded people and live at the end of the garden. Handy to have them there if you need help or information about the surroundings. Ekolsund is approx. 45 min from Arlanda airport.
